I don't wish to be among the best Illustrators, God no...
I only wish to be among the best looking ones...
I love the pose and the concept is really fun, makes a person wanna go swimming... even though it's only 45 degrees where I am lol.
Typically I like black and white photos better than color, but with all the water and the dead, leafless branches it gives the background an eerie almost haunted feel. While you're odviously having a great time... So, it seems to me that your background and your subject have conflicting emotional appeal.
Regardless, it's still a great photo.

Fall has set in here as well. No need to run the AC, and not cold enough yet for heat, the open window effect has taken hold where I live.
Interesting, I never looked at the background like that. Just seemed more natural to make it black and white for some reason. If there were a better way, or angle to take that shot I would have had him try but the position was rather troublesome.
